PIE Staff Information
At PIE we are privileged to have a team of highly skilled professionals. Our staff is made up of full and part time employees who come to PIE with varied professional and educational backgrounds and skill sets.
We maintain an office staff to support our interpreters in the field. In the office we have Coordination Specialists who work between customers who call in to request interpreting services and our interpreting staff who provide the direct service. A full time Business Manager ensures billing, payroll, and other financial processes are completed accurately and on time. The Business Manger also acts as a liaison with the company's CPA and Business Banker. In addition, she assists with Human Resources functions, ensuring employees have access to important information.
Our interpreting staff is made up of full and part time employees. The vast majority of our interpreters are Nationally Certified, a minimum requirement to work at PIE. Those interpreters on our staff who are not yet certified must be actively working towards certification and have a current mentoring plan in place. In addition, to our generalist interpreters several our interprets hold specialized training and certification is various disciplines such as legal, mental health, medical, education, theatre and performing arts, and religious just to name a few. PIE is fortunate to have Deaf Interpreters on staff as well. Deaf interpreters are individuals who are deaf themselves, are professionally trained as interpreters, and have taken or will take the national certification exam once minimum requirements have been met.
